Brief Bio: Amanda has over 15 years of social services experience and more than 9 years experience as a child, adult, and family therapist. Within the past 6 years, they have taught over 40 social work, psychology, and sociology classes. They have served the adoption and foster care community for over a decade through writing/editing 12 books and completing numerous speaking engagements, trainings, community organizing, policy advocacy, and direct clinical practice in post-adoption support. Brief Bio: Stephanie has over 6 years of social services experience and more than 4 years of experience as a child, adult, and family therapist. She serves on the board of multiple adoption-related advocacy and education organizations. For the past several years, she has served the adoption and foster care community for over a decade through publishing, speaking engagements, training, community organizing, policy advocacy, and direct clinical practice in post-adoption support with an emphasis on transracial adoption and racial identity. Stephanie's specializations include working with individuals impacted by foster care, adoption, childhood institution (hospitalizations and residential treatment facilities), transracial/racial identity, and racial trauma. She works alongside her clients and families to guide as they embark on the journey of healing and self-actualization.

Kristen Townley, BA

Brief Bio: Kristen works with tweens, teens, and transitional aged young people struggling with trauma, issues relating to sexuality and gender, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and identity challenges, and significant life transitions. Kristen has extensive social services experience across a variety of issues and human need. This included residential treatment, through intensive behavioral health services, and systems advocacy. Kristen is an MSW student at West Chester University seeking clinical specialization in issues experienced by tweens, teens, and young adults - particularly LGBTQIA+ issues. They are client-centered, non-judgmental, affirming, and adept at building mutually respectful relationships with young people.

Kimmy Herman, BSW

Brief Bio: Kimmy works with clients ranging from early adolescence to young adulthood who are struggling with issues related to trauma, sexuality and gender, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and body dissatisfaction. They are an MSW student at West Chester University who has worked in various settings from the micro to the macro level. They are a gender-affirming practitioner with extensive knowledge of LGBTQIA+ issues and the Health at Every Size® Principles. Kimmy is oriented toward social justice ideologies that aim to help clients navigate the systems they live in. She is empathetic, client-centered, non-judgmental, and affirming.

Corinne Yost, BA

Community Outreach Coordinator, Program Developer

Brief Bio: Corinne’s primary role is working to enhance our connection with our community. She creates window displays on relevant topics, social media posts, and coordinates involvement in community events as well as other projects. She is also collaborating with our Clinical Director, Stephanie to develop a Post Adoption Program. Corinne has several years of experience working with children and adolescents in mental health settings. She worked in an undergraduate research setting studying the physiological effects of stress due to economic hardship in early childhood. She has completed an MSW practicum in a non profit organization providing art programs to young people coping with adverse childhood experiences and trauma. Corinne is passionate about helping to improve people’s lives through engaging with their community and providing resources to families and individuals navigating post adoption life.
